How it works
One step in your DocuWare workflow. DocuStride changes the document and hands it straight back; nothing is kept.

Your workflow calls DocuStride
It sends the document ID and your settings.
No file sent
DocuStride2

Through DocuWare's own interface, with the access you approved.
No password3
Adds your change
QR code, watermark or microtext, in memory.
Never saved to diskYour DocuWare
4
Saves a new version
The original stays in the history; your workflow carries on.
Our copy is discardedSecurity and your data
No passwords
You approve access on DocuWare's own sign-in page.
Nothing stored
Documents are processed in memory, never saved.

HTTPS everywhere; connection details encrypted at rest.
Values not logged
The activity log keeps results, never field values.

More details for your IT team
- Sign-in: DocuWare's App Registration (OAuth). DocuStride never sees or stores a DocuWare password; deleting the App Registration stops access at once.
- What is sent: the workflow sends the document ID, your settings and your account's API key; DocuStride fetches the PDF from DocuWare's own interface.
- Documents: processed in memory and checked in as a new version; never written to our disks or database. Signed PDFs are left untouched unless you allow it.
- Secrets: the App Registration secret and the access token are encrypted before they are saved; the encryption keys are kept apart from the database. API keys are stored only as a fingerprint.
- Activity log: time, result, document ID and the names of the fields sent, never their values.
- Accounts: each account has its own API key and DocuWare connection; a key only works for its own account.
- Hosting: the service and its database run on Microsoft Azure in the EU. All traffic uses HTTPS.
- What we keep: your account details (name, email), plan and usage, the encrypted connection to DocuWare and the activity log. See the privacy policy.
